What Does the NARPM Advocacy Award Represent?

The NARPM Advocacy Award recognizes members or chapters that have demonstrated outstanding contributions to advocacy at the local, state, or federal level.

Presented through NARPM's Governmental Affairs Committee, the award honors those who have distinguished themselves through their efforts to represent the residential property management industry in legislative and public policy matters.[1]

We believe this recognition highlights the importance of strong industry representation, collaboration, and continued engagement in the policies that shape rental housing.

Recognizing the Washington State NARPM Community

Throughout his years of advocacy, Jim has worked alongside Washington State NARPM members as they have navigated an increasingly complex legislative environment.

Since 2018, rental housing professionals across Washington have faced significant changes in state and local regulations, making informed representation and collaboration more important than ever.

Jim wants to make one thing especially clear: this recognition would not have been possible without the Washington State NARPM members who nominated him and have trusted him to serve as their lobbyist.

In reflecting on this honor, Jim shares:

"I'm honored to receive this award and grateful to the Washington State NARPM members who nominated me and have placed their trust in me to serve as their lobbyist. Since 2018, our members have faced complex changes in state and local regulations year after year. Their continued trust has been essential to my work.

I also want to sincerely thank the National Association of Residential Property Managers for selecting me for this recognition. It is a privilege to serve our Washington State members, and I look forward to being part of NARPM 2.0."
